London's Waterloo Photography Guide

When you think of the Waterloo Quarter, you think of street art, vibrant exhibitions, various entertaining shows and savoury food markets. That is because Waterloo has a lot to offer. The area is a district of Central London which includes The Cut, the Old Vic and Young Vic theatres as well as some sections in the London Borough of Southwark. In this article we cover the Graffiti Tunnel known as Leake Street Arches, the Lower Marsh street market and some Christmas upcoming events – all in London’s Waterloo photography tour guide.

Waterloo is famous for its cultural venues, art galleries, cinemas, museums and live music. Some of the attractions include the Royal Festival Hall, the London Eye, the London Aquarium and the National Theatre. It is also home to an affiliated IMAX cinema, with one of the largest cinema screens in the country, according to the London Tourist Guide.

The Lower Marsh is Waterloo’s most historic street market. From tasty yet affordable street food to specially-selected handmade crafts, the market offers a unique shopping experience for tourists.

We can not talk about Waterloo without mentioning the famous Graffiti Tunnel, known as the Leake Street Arches where urban art, dining and entertainment blend together to offer an incredible experience. The 300 metre tunnel is the city’s largest legal graffiti wall and has been a bastion of London’s street art scene since 2008.

Save the date! Miracle on Leake Street returns to Waterloo on Thursday 15th December for its fourth year. The event begins with a Cabaret performance from the award-winning, non-binary artist – Pi the Mime. The night centres around a screening of ‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’. Other free activities include a wreath-making workshop, festive face-painting and craft market.

Waterloo is an excellent area for tourists with so many attractions to explore and sightseeing tours.
