Based on the book by best-selling author Robert Harris, Netflix’s “Munich” spy thriller starring Jeremy Irons was filming in Liverpool, UK last month. The film is set with Europe on the brink of the second world war. Beginning in 1938, when Neville Chamberlain secured the Munich Agreement with Hitler, Munich follows two old friends who rush to Germany for an emergency. Jeremy Irons will play former Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain in the film.
Directed by Christian Schwochow (The Crown, Bad Banks), the film also stars George MacKay (Hugh Legat), Jannis Niehwöhner (Paul Hartman), Sandra Hüller (Helen Winter), Liv Lisa Fries (Lenya), August Diehl, (Franz Sauer), Erin Doherty (Pamela Legat), Martin Wuttke (Adolf Hitler). Netflix will release the film in 2021.
