The Shuttleworth Gardens from Scarborough are trully a beautiful place when you are looking to spend some peaceful time. They are sensory gardens, filled with strongly scented, fragrant plants and flowers in raised beds, which are particulary appreciated by the blind. They were named after Alfred Shuttleworth, who owned the house called Red Court, which is now better known as the hospital in the popular television series “The Royal”. But what makes them trully unique is the miniature garden within, called “The Fairy” Garden, which has it’s own gates and a fairy post box 🙂

The Shattlewood Gardens are located opposite the Clock Tower on the Esplanade, and next to the Red Court residence. more photos below.
